Im Auftrag der türkischen Baufirma Föy Insaat wurden drei GHS Permanent Home Musterhäuser in den Städten Kilis, Istanbul und Ankara gebaut. Die GHS-Experten unterstützten das Bauteam beim fachgerechten Aufstellen der Häuser mit einfachem ClipPlus System. Die gute Zusammenarbeit ermöglichte einen rasanten Baufortschritt. „Das Permanent Home in Ankara war vom Setzen des ersten PVC-Wandelementes bis zum Legen des Fliesenbodens in nur 16 Stunden fertig! Ein absoluter Rekord“, so Siegfried Höfinger, Projektleiter bei GHS.

On 19th June 2017, GHS received important visitors at their Headquarters in Ried im Traunkreis. Wolfgang Weingartner, GHS Sales Manager for South America, visited the production location together with Governor Omar Fayad and his delegation from Hidalgo. The guests were delighted by the GHS exhibition houses and the Technical Center. Plans have already been forged for the possible realization of a “Housing Production Plant” in the Federal State of Hidalgo/Mexico.

During a live presentation, customers and interested parties were shown how quickly and easily a GHS Temporary Home can be assembled.

The key feature of the GHS system is its simplicity. A Temporary Home can be erected in just a few steps thanks to prefabricated elements. As a result, customers all over the world can use local qualified personnel for the erection of these houses and are not dependent on Service teams from Europe. On 11th May, selected customers and interested parties were shown “live” just how easy this is. The guests were able to convince themselves of the simplicity of the system on-site. The GHS fitters assembled wall elements in only a few minutes. The fully-assembled exhibition house is now standing at our premises in Ried im Traunkreis and can be viewed at any time.

In Erftstadt, refugee housing has existed for some time in the form of containers. When further accommodation was called for by the German Government, Peter Schranz and his team at GHS won the tender convincingly.

Erftstadt is situated west of the city of Cologne and has taken on the task of offering assistance in times of large migratory flows. As a result, huge container villages were erected relatively quickly in an industrial area which were intended to provide accommodation for the incoming asylum-seekers. However, the German government wished to generate still more sleeping places, and put this project out to public tender. Besides the usual container solutions, alternative suggestions were permissible, and it was this fact which attracted the team from GHS. “The idea was to work in a cost-saving manner, and additionally to achieve better thermal insulation than is possible with containers”, explains Project Manager Peter Schranz.

The Temporary Home by GHS is based on a timber-frame construction; a high-quality foam filling serves as a shell, and all “the extra bits” play both a role in the statics as well as acting as thermal insulation. On 7th March 2017, four completely identical buildings with a total utility area of 1400 m2 were assembled on a large green field, each featuring rooms measuring 12 m2 for two people. In addition, there are also small communal rooms, kitchens and washrooms in each house. The project was successfully completed on 11th May 2017, after a construction period of only two months.

GHS has built the first asylum-seeker accommodation in Germany – in Bad Salzuflen. This concerns two buildings for teenage asylum-seekers and one integrated residence each for their supervisors.
The planning and realisation has been adapted to the local situation. After only a 6-week construction period, the entire building project could be handed over to the client as a turn-key solution to the fullest satisfaction of all those concerned.

IRANPLAST is one of the largest and most important exhibitions in Iran, in the fields of Raw Materials, Machinery & Moulds, Auxiliaries and Services for Plastics & Rubber industries, as well as, one of the most magnificent ones in the Middle East region and Asia. GHS colabora con el proyecto "The Final Barrier" como socio activo: un proyecto cinematográfico con participación austríaca, cuyo tema principal es la situación de los refugiados en Europa. Dirigido por director de Bosnia y Herzegovina Jasmin Durakovic y producido por Robert Hofferer, de Artdeluxe, quien también firma como responsable de la autoría del guion.

La película filmada principalmente en inglés en escenarios originales trata de un productor de documentales austríaco (Michael Kristof) que debe enfrentarse a la miseria y la voluntad de vivir de un grupo de refugiados en la frontera entre Serbia y Hungría. El 14/01/16 en Johannesburgo se celebró un contrato entre GHS Global Housing y la empresa asociada GHH que versa sobre la cooperación futura en el continente africano. Ambas empresas juntas erigirán en el transcurso de los siguientes cinco años nueve emplazamientos productivos en África. Para este año se planea el establecimiento de tres emplazamientos (uno en Mozambique y dos en Zambia), en los que se logrará una capacidad de 5.000 casas por año con la ayuda de trabajadores locales y recursos regionales.
