GHS Temporary Homes in Bad Leonfelden
Millions of people are currently seeking refuge. In most cases, Germany is the stated destination. But the number of asylum applications has been growing rapidly in the last months in Austria as well. 700 asylum seekers are currently being housed by the Upper Austria Red Cross. 48 more will in future be given winter-proof accommodation in GHS Temporary Homes in Bad Leonfelden.
It took just a few days for three GHS houses, which in future will provide accommodation for asylum seekers, to be built on a plot close to the Red Cross site. "This accommodation meets all the requirements for housing and looking after people who have sought asylum. There is no need for refitting or adaptations," explains the Upper Austria Red Cross President Dr. Walter Aichinger. The first house is already taking shape - three more will follow.
We are pleased to be able to support the Upper Austria Red Cross in this with a check for Euro 60,400.
